When people think of the American northwest they conjure scenes of rugged coastlines, lush green forests, and iconic volcanic mountains. What people don't necessarily picture are the incredible desert landscapes to be found, and they're just as fabulous as the other scenes. Adding to the experience of being in these deserts is the fact that they are less travelled than many of the other landscapes to be found in the northwest. The serenity of being in these odd locations with a lack of crowds, highways, and light pollution, makes for great therapy for the soul. Another plus? Seeing these places in November means the temperatures are cooler and the weather tends to be more interesting.
This 6 day (5 night) trip will take us all throughout the eastern sides of Washington, Oregon, and Nevada to explore various landscapes of the Great Basin and High Desert. By the nature of these locations, this excursion is camping based to keep us on location for shooting. I'm happy to provide basic camping gear to those who may need it.
